Regions Beyond is a diverse family of churches joined in apostolic partnership.
This world-wide movement of churches was originally the vision of Steve Oliver and his wife, Heather. Together with their three sons, they moved to a remote farm in Clarens in the Eastern Free State of South Africa to plant Dihlabeng Christian Church. Working amongst the people there for 13 years, they saw God moving powerfully as they gathered a diverse community of people with a passion for God, a heart for the poor, and a calling to the ends of the Earth. Church leaders from other nations shared Steve’s vision and joined hearts with him. In 2010, Steve and Heather responded to God’s call again, this time to relocate to Dubai in the UAE. By now the expanding group of churches was named ‘Regions Beyond’, a name inspired by the apostle Paul’s desire to see the gospel spread further and wider:
Steve gathered a group of leaders with growing apostolic gifting from across the nations who helped him to identify eleven values which we teach within our churches and aim to display in our individual lives as we fulfil our calling in Christ. As a movement, we carry many wonderful promises from God and our greatest desire is to be Christ-centred and obedient to all that he asks us to do. We celebrate diversity in context and style and are committed to planting and strengthening churches across the nations. Our desire is that each church is a loving, prayerful, worshipping community, centred on Jesus, rooted in the Bible and empowered by the Holy Spirit to be effective witnesses. We aim to reflect the glory of God through joy, generosity, humility, compassion, service, grace and integrity. Steve is linked with Newfrontiers ,a group of apostolic leaders partnering together on global mission, joined by common values and beliefs, shared mission and genuine relationships.
Steve and Heather have now relocated to the UK where it has been their joy to help to plant Trinity Church in the centre of London(Westminster). Our growing team of apostles and Ephesians 4 gifts are working together to serve churches in RegionsBeyond across 30 nations and pioneering into new areas.
