Edinburgh, Victory Hill Church

Victory Hill is a new church plant in Edinburgh and the first church which is part of Regions Beyond in Scotland. The leaders, Niko and Bex, were given the call to go back to their home city in Edinburgh whilst serving in City Hill, another Regions Beyond church in Dubai. When they finally settled back in Edinburgh the church composed of just two people – Niko and Bex! They worked for the next few months establishing relationships in the city, forming a vision and praying into values for the church.

In January 2020, with a small team of about 6-8 people, we felt God leading us to begin meeting in a city centre venue and that He would provide us people along the way. We were only meeting for 10 weeks before the pandemic hit and lockdown began but we quickly switched to online church. We were blessed by an extended community of around 30 people worldwide including lots of new friends some of which are planning to hopefully come and be part of our work here in Edinburgh!

As a community we strive to live in the leap – surrendering all control to Jesus and being constantly suspended in a place of faith as a lifestyle. We believe in welcoming every person no matter who they are as we cultivate an atmosphere of grace over shame. Our vision is not restricted to cultural, societal or geographical boundaries as we look to reach out to those without hope wherever possible in order to love beyond limits.

We just returned to our first face to face meeting at the end of August where we had just under 20 people in our service. We are believing that God will continue to work through us into our city and the nations. We are relatively small in number at the moment but we are already seeing lives impacted by the work we have set out to do. We are living in great expectancy because of the God we serve and believing for restoration and revival.
